USF receives report$ 40 million surprise for AI, security

The University of South Florida announced the largest contribution in the school’s story: a$ 40 million donation from Arnie and Lauren Bellini to create a new College of Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and Computing.

The product, school leaders said, will help change the location into a security head amid a workforce shortage.

Arnie Bellini founded the Tampa Bay based IT support firm ConnectWise, which sold for$ 1.5 billion in 2019. He donated$ to create a skill and career service centre on campus that he said had shut the skills gap between education and businesses. He has also donated$ 15 million to Tampa Catholic High School for an arts center.

His latest present, he said, is anything he hopes will protected the country’s political power
