KUWAIT CITY, March 5:  , The Cabinet held its regular meeting on Tuesday night, March 4, 2025, at Bayan Palace, chaired by Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Sherida Abdullah Al-Muasherji, briefed the internet following the meeting.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Cabinet extended its best gratitude to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and to the people and people of Kuwait on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. The Cabinet prayed to Allah Almighty to recognize their good deeds and send gifts, goodness, and prosperity to the Islamic and Muslim nations. It even prayed for continued safety, health, and happiness for Kuwait.
The Cabinet was briefed on the visit of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah’s agent, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and the official group accompanying him to the Arab Republic of Egypt. His Highness the Crown Prince is heading Kuwait’s group at the amazing Arab Summit in Cairo, where discussions are focused on the Palestinian issue. The conference aims to choose a unified Muslim position to support the rights of the Arab people and their perseverance on their property.
The Cabinet reviewed emails sent to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah by the leaders of several platonic and friendly countries. These emails focused on strengthening diplomatic relations and enhancing joint participation between Kuwait and those countries in various areas.
The Cabinet examined a lecture by His Excellency the Minister of State for Communications Affairs, Omar Saud Al-Omar, regarding the proper partnership agreement between the Government of Kuwait and Microsoft. This arrangement may lead to the establishment of numerous facilities, including a modern artificial intelligence data centre and a Center of Excellence for Cloud Computing. Additionally, a comprehensive rehabilitation initiative will be launched to equip national cadres with the necessary skills in artificial intelligence to prepare them for future labor market demands. The Cabinet praised the efforts of Minister Al-Omar and the committee overseeing the strategic partnership.
The Cabinet also reviewed the recommendation from the Ministerial Committee for Economic Affairs regarding the approval of the annual development plan for 2025-2026, submitted by the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development. The Cabinet decided to assign the General Secretariat to coordinate with relevant parties to address any obstacles hindering the plan’s progress.
Review of Agenda TopicsThe Council of Ministers reviewed several topics listed on the agenda, approved a number of them, and referred others to the appropriate ministerial committees for further study and report preparation to ensure the completion of necessary procedures.
