Israeli co Dream Security raises$ 100m at$ 1.1b valuation

Israeli cybersecurity startup Dream Security was founded by former Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz, former CEO of NSO Group, and former Israeli ambassador to Israel Gil Dolev. The company has raised$ 100 million at a company valuation of$ 1.1 billion.

The company sells computer security systems to companies with sophisticated or old physical infrastructures, such as oil rigs, energy companies and nuclear reactors. State security systems, which aimed to centralize regional infrastructures, are also a fan of the business. Before the recent funding round, the company’s pricing was$ 54 million, according to PitchBook.

Bain Capital Ventures, a venture capital firm founded by former US presidential candidate Mitt Romney, led the latest round of funding. The company’s existing buyers, Dov Frances’s Group1, Aleph Fund, through founding partner Michael Eisenberg, James Rothschild’s Real Arrow Fund and TAU Fund, are also participating in the leasing round.

Enrique Salem, past Symantec CEO and Mandiant chair, and Shlomo Yanai, past Teva CEO, are joining Dream’s board of directors as part of the leasing round. Yanai has encounter managing facilities, and Salem has experience in the security sector.

Monthly Recurring Income of$ 100 million

The business has a backlog of orders worth$ 130 million over the past year, which would give it an estimated annual revenue of over$ 40 million. Dream Security currently generates revenue at a rate of$ 100 million, which is expected to double by the end of 2025, which explains the high valuation the business received. For an Israeli security company that was established just two years ago and has less than 10 clients, this is a great income level.

The business has clients in Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia in addition to consumers in Israel and Austria. Dream Security has 150 people, and its headquarters is in Tel Aviv’s Midtown office building.

Last year, the company launched a large, authentic language model designed for experts and data protection managers, which can be used to identify and address security vulnerabilities, configuration files, reports, and power systems. A brief written command of the language website is expected to reveal the organization’s network to analysts at client companies and aid in the identification of flaws and comprehension of where corporate gaps are located.

Hulio stated:” AI is altering the game, and Journey stands as a leading global player in this regard. Frances added,” In all my years in venture capital, I have never seen a business that grows as fast as Dream, as it has demonstrated over the past year, and has such a share of skills. I have no doubt that Dream will grow to be one of the largest AI firms in the world for the protection of crucial national infrastructures, and it will undoubtedly be the largest AI firm to ever emerge from Israel.

According to Michael Eisenberg,” Countries and entities entrusted with critical infrastructure are only beginning to comprehend the magnitude of the threat posed by cyberattacks driven by AI.”
