The education initiative comes at a time when technology firms across Europe are grappling with considerable skills shortages, particularly in emerging areas such as AI and security. By focusing on both standard digital education and advanced technological education, Cisco aims to address urgent skills spaces while building a network of skills for the future.
Cisco’s Networking Academy has established itself as one of the country’s longest-running skills-to-jobs programs, operating for more than 27 years worldwide. The club provides a syllabus that prepares trainees for careers in the online business through collaborations across public and private sectors.
The EU’s Union of Skills platform, which Cisco’s program supports, represents a planned approach to addressing skills shortages across the European Union. By aligning corporate training initiatives with EU goals, the platform aims to create a more coherent plan for workplace growth across member says.
