According to the Wall Street Journal, Matthew Van Andel, 42, had his economic data stolen by hackers who used his registration details to steal sensitive information from Disney.  ,
He was fired from his position as a result.
In February, he had installed the free software on a computer at his$ 1.1 million home from the code-sharing platform Git Hub. The technology was supposed to aid in his development of AI images from words causes. Rather, it was malicious that gave hackers access to his full modern life- including his work data- through a password-manager.  ,
In July, Van Andel learned that something was amiss when he received a Discord concept that read,” I have gained access to specific sensitive information related to your personal and professional life.”
The stranger communication had a lot of information about him, including information about his breakfast with coworkers days before that had been discussed in a secret office Slack channel.
The next day, after Van Andel went to the police instead of handing the attackers more knowledge, over 44 million Disney messages were published online.
The information dump included Disney’s personal customer information, individual card numbers, and theme park and streaming profit figures.
The thief claimed online that they had an “inside person.”

In an email to CNN following the stolen information dump, they wrote that the customer was informed that we had them and that he had once tried to push us out before attempting to kick us again.
Van Andel’s credit card details were stolen, and his economic account passwords were leaked in the information dump. Hackers also shared his login details and Social Security number with the Ring cameras in his house.
The father of two told the WSJ ‘ It’s impossible to express the feeling of contravention.’
He told Disney’s computer security staff about the breach, and he later realized the hack came through his home computer.  ,
The hacker, who reportedly identified himself as” Nullbulge,” allegedly told Van Andel that he was a member of a Russian-based hacktivist group that opposes businesses that use artificial intelligence.  ,
But, studies say they are most likely an American and working alone, seeking monetary gain.
Van Andel’s life was ruined by the hack, with the Roblox records of even his children also hacked. Individuals who used the stolen information to log in to his social media accounts used offensive speech.  ,
His girlfriend Christa Maier stated to the ,” It was a device that they had originally downloaded just to have fun with the kids.” However, things was contaminating it, and it wasn’t made clear until some months later when data was being mined. ‘ ,

Van Andel was fired from Disney a few weeks after the exploit when a criminal examination of his work computer revealed that he had accessed pornographic material on the machine, which he denies doing.
Van Andel’s health insurance was terminated and he lost about$ 200, 000 in prizes, he told the WSJ.
A spokesman for Disney told the WSJ: ‘ Mr. Van Andel’s say that he did not engage in the misconduct that led to his dismissal is strongly refuted by the agency’s overview of his company-issued device.’
Van Andel’s sisters started a  , to support him and his family through the ordeal.
‘ This crime has taken the most extraordinary measures to kill his career, his finances, his reputation, and every aspect of his personal well-being,’ the page’s description reads.
The scope of these continued malicious acts has an impact on the lives and security of both his own family and his two young children.
